The Atypical Lung Panel PCR kit has been designed to detect Chlamydophila pneumoniae, Mycoplasma pneumoniae and Legionella pneumophila/longbeachae DNA extracted from the following human biological samples; throat swab, nasopharyngeal swab (Flocking swabs and Liquid Amies, Universal Transport Medium, VCM, Sigma Transwab, Copan ESwab, Sigma VCM), nasopharyngeal aspirate, tracheal aspirate, bronchoalveolar lavage, sputum, biopsy (tissue) samples and culture. Fluorescence detection is accomplished using the FAM, HEX, Texas RED and Cy5 filters.
